[64 ragtop]

I have a 64 chevelle convertible. I am changing the original 6 cyl/3 sp to a 327 with a powerglide. I dont know which rear end is in the car. Should I plan to change the rear end as well? What would be the best rear end set up for everyday driving /cruising?

If you are not looking to race the rear in the car should be ok. You might want to look into a th350 tranny instead of the power glide.

Your car should have the 8.2 10 bolt. If it is in good condition it should be plenty strong for the 327 Powerglide combo.
