i have a 69 elcamino just bought ,tryed to figer out the numbers on it..the rear reads GCC 364 and a 1 or an L,looks to be upsidown num 1 ,,what would the ratio be and what year if it has been changed??????????

Looked up gc codes in my
"chevy by the numbers" book the only gc code i found was 6 metallic brakes posi 273:1
1967
passenger car.

thanks for the replays best i can guss is a 273 ,71 motal not a pos and i have jacked it up and turned the drive shift about 1 1/2 turns to one,= x 2= might be 273 or a 308,,,,,,, i read it as Gc meaning 71 273 and the next c would be for gm built,,,,i just don't know,
