Has anyone built their own rear disc brake conversion bracket for a 1970 Chevelle? I am going to use the stock rotors and calipers that came off the front after upgrading with Willwood.
Not sure if I am reading this right, but are you trying to say you want to use the front brakes that came off the car on the rear by fabricating your own bracket after you have upgraded the fronts to Wilwood?

that is correct, the car came with factory discs in the front. I am assuming that the factory rotors from the front will work on the back along with the calipers, 12 bolt rear end.

Ok. That will not work. Factory front disc brakes will not work on the rear. You need a completely different setup.

I bought a 4 whl disc kit from Pirate Jack ( I know I know lol) but it came with 4 front D52 calipers and does work but not the greatest, rotors from front Will Not work, I'm going to eventually buy a Wilwood kit, IMO best bang for your buck

I recommend getting a kit to change the brakes over to using a Corvette C5 or better the C6 calipers and 13" rotors. CPP sells a kit and it is on ebay also. $650 for the fronts, but they are not GM calipers. You can also just buy the spindles from them and get the other parts separately. That is what I did (see pic)

. I purchased all GM Corvette parts, including the C6 Calipers and stock Corvette rotors. Will install when I get 18" wheels. I installed C5 brakes on my '94 Camaro Z28 some years ago, made a huge difference!

they sell a budget caliper bracket so you can use the front calipers out back, you just need a rotor. I had that set up on a 12 bolt I bought, but no provision for a e brake I sold it. jim
