My 69 chevelle is a few days away from being ready for the booth and i'm still a little stumped on the color. Its a 33k original 307 2bbl car w/air thats had the malibu trim and emblems removed, SS hood installed and SS wheels. I'm not going the SS emblem route but just figured the hood and wheels are a definate plus. The car was originally butternut yellow with a black vinyl roof and interior, but i'm thinking of going daytona yellow instead. Out of those two colors what do you thing would make the car more desirable to the "average" car guy. I know daytona yellow was SS only, but in my opinion its a better choice than butternut. If you were in the market for a real clean 69 what color would you rather have.....Daytona or Butternut ????

Thanks for the input........i think.

Neither. Yellow is a tough color to sell.

It sounds to me like you're readying this car to sell and you don't have plans to keep it. Paint it a popular color, and a factory paint code for SURE!

Best colors on a 69:

Monaco Orange
LeMans Blue
Black

NOT red.

Your right, I'm not planning on keeping it long. Being its so original I figured i'd keep the color in the same family. I thought about blue, but I just cant. Maybe I just need to flip a coin :D

thanks.....
