I've had my motor running for awhile now wiht just a few tuning problems to fix, but I had a question thats been bugging me. I guy that used to work at Mallory told me I need to re-curve (change springs) in my Summit HEI in order for the Vortec heads to run right... Is this true? Which springs do I need? And most importantly, what does the Dist. curving have to do with the heads? Thanks for all replies.....

I think that it has to do with the combustion chamber size, the Vortec heads have a 64cc combustion chamber which is smaller than most small block chevys. Perhaps you should post this in the Performance forum and see what those guys say there.
