just but a 1969 convertible 396. noticed a rattle drivers side rear. short investigation i'm sure its the SS wheel cap on the Rally II wheel. grab the jack, tire iron from the trunk. oops, the jack doesn't fit into the stand! okay, i grabbed another jack. no use the tire iron to loosen the lugs. oh, wrong size tire iron!!!! I'm bummed.

any ideas of a short term fix while i go get a tire iron that works.

Welcome Tim, to Team Chevelle.....:waving:

Maybe a little clear silicone sealer applied to the outside of the cap where it meets the wheel temporarily? When you get the wheel off, you can easily remove the sealer then. BTW, those lug nuts are 3/4", unless you have custom wheels with a larger nut on them. Auto supply stores have 4-way lug wrenches that have 4 different lug nut sizes on them.
