Get ready for food prices to skyrocket... farmers in the midwest haven't been able to get their crops in. I don't know what's going to happen with ethanol, but I don't think there will be enough corn to sustain it this fall.

We finally got all the crops planted, but I need to replant some corn, and we seem to get .5-.75" every other day. Frustrating. I'd almost say the heck with replanting, but it is right across the road from the house, so I'd have to look at it all summer. Last year be couldn't buy rain, and this year we can't get rid of it. Part of the game I guess.

You lighwieghts need to enjoy it. My rain gauge at the house shows 23 inches in the last two weeks. And it is the first time this year the flood control managers opened the spillways before we were under water two feet like we were last September.

I just laid off half of my employees today because the projects are all so far behind that they're not ready for our windows yet.
