yea reving up the motor and putting it n drive is rough on the tranny. do u have to do this to get a good start? if so , start out in low 1 and shift up manually thru the gears. good luck

did that same thing with my folks old Dodge 383 cu. Polara. Did it from a roll though. Front U-joint decided to go to the junkyard in the sky. fun rid though. same car that I went to rev it up from under the hood, grab the gear selector instead of the throttle arm. Car went into reverse, across the street it went, up the neighbors drive way until I got it stopped. scary!! they never found out about that though, car went on to be a enduro race champion though. May the car rest in piece(s)

Bad idea mike.

BUT, you can. Apply the front bakes witha quick push-hold. The romp on the throttle untill half way down. The back tire(s) will break loose. You can now let off of the brakes and use throttle modualtion to "roll out"

Another fun trick to do in traffic: With some loud as ar next to you wanting a pice of action, do a brake stand wand watch the smoke rise up. NOt exactly a daily thing though

-that shift kit in yet?
