I love dreaming about cars, cars I want to restore some day, cars I want to own, I'm sure I'm not alone on this. One of the great things about being a Chevy man is that I know pretty much any part I need or want is available.
Last night I had a dream about restoring a 1968 Charger RT, so now I have it stuck in my head and I'm just wondering how hard it is to find parts for a car like that? Is there a catalogue where you can order fenders, tail lights, trim pieces, etc. for Mopars?
Also, just to cover the bases, is there something like that for Ford too?

I don't have the afternoon to look on google, I have to run so I'm hoping you guys can have it answered before I get home lol

There is stuff out there for Chargers more so than any other Mopar..except maybe E bodies (Challenger/Cuda). Sheetmetal for 68-70 Chargers is now available (wasn't when I did mine). Most trim pieces are avaialble as well as grilles but are very expensive. There are also quite a few 1 year only parts that are specific to each year Charger 68, 69, 70. If you are seriously thinking about doing a Charger, spend some time over at www.dodgecharger.com.

I have a catalog about 250 pages of fairlane parts. There were some great looking fairlanes, 63-64, 66-67, good midsize packages....

Are the trim pieces available to make a Thunderbolt? I'm not sure if that's a tall order or not, but I think those cars look amazing! I dunno, it's one of those cars I've always wanted to build.

I'm not sure why people prefer the 69 and 70 Charger over the 68. The 68 just screams attitude to me, it's sleeker and meaner, I like the 69 but I guess I was too young to really get into the Duke's of Hazzard but now I just think that car is overdone and has kinda wrecked the image of them to me.

Do they make all the pieces necessary to make a Superbird clone?

Some of these mopar parts can be found at Goodmark.Alot of the smaller parts need to be found in places like ebay and craigs list because the repops dont fit well or there is no repop built yet.Finding a good mopar to restore can be a night mare because many times people have stolen parts off them. The mopars have been hit hard as far as selling them.I own a 1970 AAR Cuda and I have seen that car drop in price to a point that I could almost use it as a daily driver.Do a good job checking the car out before you buy it,making sure you can get the parts you need.Cloneing a Superbird would be big money, almost as much as restoring a Max Wedge.
