Hi Everyone,

For a long time it was my dream to own a Chevelle, and finally i have found one that i think is the rite fit for me, I was looking for one that was done rite. This 69 Chevelle 300 Delux Hardtop has been restored and the seller had all the paper work for it.

Its got a new 383 CID Stoker V8
750 CFM Holley Double Pumper
Upgraded Disc Brakes
Hedman Hookers,

Body is traight and an off frame paint job was done on it attached are some pics. The owner is asking $28,000 for it and i just want to know is this worth it? and If you can give any advice it will be appreciated as this is my first!!!

No heater. Not particularly well detailed engine compartment. It might be nice, but there are some indications that it might have been thrown together for resale. For that much money I would expect everything to be operational. Before you purchase this car I would have it thoroughly inspected at a trusted body shop AND mechanic.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice Steve, I did get it taken to a mechanic that i know, and we had it up on a lift, the under carriage is in great shape. and all the electronics of the vehicle are functional. We also were able to take it for a test drive with my mechanic.

What in your opinion i should offer for this vehicle?

Omer, I don't trust any seller. If you took the car to a certified mechanic who gave his stamp of approval on the mechanical side, that is a good thing. I assume Alberta cars are prone to rust I would visit a body shop, the cost of being wrong far outweighs the price of an inspection.

As for what is fair, $28,000 seems high, $13,000 seems rather low if the car is as advertised. I don't know how long you have been looking, but patience, persistence along with a discerning eye will eventually get you a good car at a fair price.

Other than the non-functional heater and seemingly faded carpets, it looks like quite a nice car but I'd try to have the seller lower the asking price a bit. I wouldn't go more than $18 - $20 grand.

good luck,

Claude.

It's impressive that the rare original 300 Deluxe interior is still intact but much of the 300 Deluxe exterior trim (assuming it didn't have the SS396 option) is gone. It would've had a thin spear on the rocker panels and 300 Deluxe emblems on the front fenders. That said, it appears to be a decent car but $28k is way too high. I'd say $12-16k range.

Thanks to all the replies..I have held off on the purchase...I have been searching in canada for a while and also in the states and it appears that in the USA these are much cheaper.

I am looking to purchase a restomod and looking to have it fully operational. I will keep my hunt on it just appears I have to bring my search state side as in Canada i have not been able to find a chavelle lower than this price that has had a restomod done.
