OK Guys Need Help...
1967 chevelle 300 Deluxe, 396, 4 speed.
I need a pic of the PS brakets on the front of engine. Im trying to use brakets off of a Impala, wont work, hits steering box. Whats different? Braket on block?
Please respone as soon as pos.

It's all different because of interference with that steering box. Different bracket. Different PS pump/tank. Different and external PS pump reservoir attached over on the fender.

If you do a search there are pictures that have already been posted. But the synopsis is a very minimal tank was used on the PS pump with a large 5/8" hose to a reservoir over on the fender. Of course that hose was not really very long because of the long and high mounting bracket. The PS pump was moved far enough outboard that it is outside of the alternator belt triangle. In fact the alt belt passes right through the gap between the forward single row PS pulley and the PS pump.

It is a tight fit for both the alternator and PS pump on the DS with the short water pump setup.
