Have a '64 Chevelle Malibu SS Convert, 230 L6 w/PowerGlide. Does anyone have any idea of how many of the configuration were produced or where I could find out. Thanks.

I'm sure someone will have the actual number for you, but I can narrow it down slightly for you.
On ThePaddock Inc., there's a downloadable adobe acrobat file(54k size) that you can use to decode your vin and also get a general idea of how special your car is. That is, by model, not options.
It's www.paddockparts.com/images/chevellevin.pdf .
There are also decoders for other cars at www.paddockparts.com/vindecoders.html
It shows there were 23,168 total # of convertibles, and 67,100 Malibu SS. Doesn't say how many that are both, but maybe it'll give you a general idea as there was 294,232 total cars if i understand it right, before getting more narrow.

It is my understanding that in '64 only, the Chevelles & Chevy IIs with the 230/155 had chrome accents (rocker cover, oil breather, dipstick handle, air cleaner lid). Does yours? Also, do you have coolant lines from your Powerglide to the lower rad section? The base six did not (194 from '64-'66; 230 from '67 - '69). My 250 has an external cooler, but I'm not sure if the 230/155 of '64 or the 230/140 of '65-'66 used it.
