Problem wiring MSD box to battery

Well, a picture is worth a 1,000 words. The connector isn't long enough to clear, any ideas on an option?

You don't need it directly to the battery post, you can run it to the battery terminal at your fuse box. I've had mine there for 15 years now. Are you going to run a kill switch for it as well?? It is recommended.
