Does anybody recommend an inexpensive primer gun? I understand it doesn't need to be anything special, just a 1.3 or 1.4?

I think what you want for primer is a 1.8. It seems like everyone is going LVLP (low volume low pressure) today. Check out this site for info: http://www.autorestorer.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=556

A cheap 1.4 would be fine, I use the same gun for primer and cutting in parts, HVLP Binks M1G.

Ok, thanks for the help! Man, I priced my paint today and I was shocked how much it has gone up! I was told Garnet Red runs $200.00 a quart. Guess I better get it right the first time!

I price checked Garnett Red last month and it was $115 for a quart. That was for DuPont Chromabase, what one did you price out?
