Discussing complete paint job with a painter. His opinion is that for a nice "driver" car that will be kept indoors & covered, that PPG's Shopline series will look as good as one done in the DBC series.

What I would like is to hear from you who have experience using the two product lines. My basic question is, if two cars are parked next to each other, one painted DBC and one Shopline in the same color (Marina Blue), assuming all other things are equal (good application, clear coat and buffing, etc) is there a big difference between the appearance of the two? Or, only a slight difference?

Thanks for your help.

Properly applied, I can't believe there'd be a difference. I did my last Chevelle in Nason single stage urethane, which is about as cheap a product as you can get, and 4 years later, it looks a s good as it did the day I cut and buffed it. It stayed garaged and waxed, which I agree with your painter is the secret.
