I posted this question in the Cooling section, but no responses. Need some help here.

Just purchased and installed a new aluminum duel electric Alumitech radiator in my 66'. Got it all hooked up except for the wire that leads to the ignition. When I turn my key on to start the car, and the car is in the running position, what color is the wire that I should look for on the ignition?

I need to hook my radiator orange wire to the key (ignition) wire so the fans know when to shut off (when I shut the key off).

Thanks
Tod

If you are looking for a ign. power source you may want to utilize the fuse panel. There should be a spot marked ign. i would also install an inline fuse. You may also want to consider using thermostaticly controlled switch to turn fans on at a set temperature.

Check to make sure there is no voltage with the key in the 'ACCY" position.

Don't need the fans running if you are just hanging out and listening to the stereo.
