Two questions.

1. Do you know a good source for the power lock switch? It doesn't have to be original, just something that works with as little hassle and cash outlay as possible.

2. Where on the door panel was the OEM power lock switch located? (A picture would be awesome!)

I'm setting up power locks with remote keyless entry and only one switch on the driver's side for both locks.

I see the oem type in the help section of most parts stores, never checked on the price of them.

I can get one for about $30, which isn't too bad considering NPD wants around $75 or so.

I really need to know where to mount the thing though. I guess it doesn't matter since I don't have all original interior, but I have original door panels and don't want to screw 'em up.

When I put the remote mirror in my 70 it had perforated markings on the back of the door panels showing exactly where to cut for the knob and bezel, maybe there is something like that on your panels for the door locks as well.

I have another thought on this. Don't install a button. Just use a remote unlock/lock system. No holes in the panel, but the convenience of power locks.

Yeah, I thought about that too. I already have the stuff for the remote hookup.

I'll check the rear of the panels when I install my vent seals in a couple of weeks.

I have been thinking of installing an alarm system in the 64 SS when I get it home and I am going to add the door locks but not cut holes in the panels for switches. I don't want to ruin the stock look, but would like the alarm for peace of mind.
