Helping a friend resolve a gas gauge issue in a 2000 Montana mini van. Thought I might get lucky and get a response from any GM mechanics or others knowledgeable about these things. It seems to be intermittent which really makes it hard to diagnose but sometimes it will just read full even after driving 300 miles after filling up. It is a 25 gallon tank and averages 20 mpg but the gauge won't budge off of full. Yet other times it works fine. I had done a search on these vans and did happen to find some reading about a faulty connector under the driver's seat causing a gas gauge malfunction so we checked that out and found like 8 or 10 connectors under there!! Where to start? Do these things have floats in the tanks like my Chevelle or is it all electronic?
Thanks,
