How can I safely strip my dash bezel?
Would soda blasting do it?

J70,
Its the plastic guage bezel on a 69 chevelle ss. It appears that someone loaded on the paint and I just wanted to strip it and do it right. This is an original piece.

i was told easy-off oven cleaner woul strip plastic maybe someone else could comment on that or try it in a place no one else could see to see how well it works

My dash was repainted by someone and they did a bad job so I used easy off oven cleaner on my dash and it worked great.
Try it in a hidden area first like I did to make sure it wont harm the plastic.
I did small sections at a time,I sprayed easy off and let it sit for a short time and used a small bristle brush to get into the crevices and rinsed it with water and repeated this until all the paint was off.
Then I washed it with soap and water.

You can also try brake fluid to remove the paint. It won't hurt the plastic.

Are you sure you got her involved or was it the other way around??? I bet she had you do a real nice job on the oven since you already had the cleaner out!
