I have what supposed to be a 70 Chevelle SS, but the plant code in the VIN is "R" and the plant code in the cowl tag is "BT"

Do I have a pieced together car, or is this normal?

Not sure if your car is a real SS or not but the "R" in the vin is for Arlington TX built and the BT would be correct.

Hi Isaac, welcome to the site! Does the car have the round gauges or the rectangular speedometer? There a couple different things to look at. What's the original color code?
