Some pics of my friends LS6 that he just bought. Here is a brief history on the car,He has owned the car before in the 80's and he sold it .He wondered what had happened to it and a couple of months ago he received a call from the guy that owned it.The owner asked some questions about the car and at the end of their conversation my friend told him that if he ever wanted to sell it to let him know.A couple of weeks ago he received a call from the owner and he told my friend that he was thinking of selling the car so tuesday we went on a road trip to look at the car and we found it in great condition. My friend bought the car and we brought it back home!
It is a very well documented car with protecto plate, build sheet, price sheet, lots of recipets and statments from the previous owners. The car still has the origional engine!
It is an origional tripple black car(black paint, black top, black int).Stripe delete, non cowl induction,automatic,3.31 posi with a bucket seat interior.

Very Nice Chevelle. But it is Not Stripe Delete!! Stripe Delete means it was ordered with Cowl-Induction and then the Stripes were Deleted. Since this Chevelle does not have Cowl-Induction, it cannot be Stripe Delete since it did not have Stripes without Cowl-Induction. I have a very Close Chevelle that is Triple Black,LS-5 4 Speed with a Black Bench Interior.

Could you order a LS6 without a cowl hood? That is one awesome looking chevelle, make's me think about not puttin the stripe's on mine when I paint it.
Yes. Cowl induction hood was a separate option and included the stripes and hood pins. You could also order the stripes-only as a separate option. As L7870 cortez said, the "stripe delete" (rare) was if you ordered the cowl induction option and had the stripes left off. If you just got the Z-15 (SS454) or Z-25 (SS396) option or Z-15 plus LS-6, you got what this car is, no stripes and no cowl induction.
