here they are.
the hood is completely home made, top, bottom, built in air box.and all the molds to duplicate it. the hood is not exactly the right design but i went with function over form. Its a 6" cowl and the bottom part of the hood is cut out
so the air dosent stack up on the firewall at speed.

the bumpers are not on yet as im having a problem finding a company to plate fiberglass bumpers

this speaks for its self

the fender wells are also homemade, the firewall cut out and replaced with smooth metal. the break lines are routed back through the fire wall and down through the toe boards and are not visable as well as the engine harness. you can see how the air box seals on the carb here.

here you can see how the fuel lines are routed through the windshield wiper trough. they come up through the lower left kick panel. i know this is a no/no but maybe i wont get called out on it

rear view. no bumpers yet

this is some of the electronics. theres a backup digital 6 under the pass. seat. the car has 2 air fuel ratio systems on it on on each bank. the trans uses a solinoid with a shift controler.

the car is a pump gas 383 with a best of 10.17 and hope to get into the 9s this year. its taken 10 yrs to get it to this stage.

hope you like it

That hood may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I really like what you did.

Nice work, indeed.
I like the wheels, they look way better then the old.
The color looks better then I though it would too
Nice showcar, racecar, I mean streetcar.
All it needs is some silver fiberglass bumpers!
Wait did you just way 9s with a pumpgas 383, isnt that imposible? :D
With that fancy paint how we gonna push it thru the staging lanes?

Why does it have a "flux capacitor" in the trunk for?

WOW. man i hope your right. i just hope it stays on the car and speed. ive used hundreds of gallons of glass but have NEVER glued to cured pieces toghter before.
Nice work, I like it
You do really nice work, very clean. Nice car.
looks great, nice job-way to many switches for me though, lol
do you have fenderwell headers-hard to tell from the pics
i thought there was a place in Texas that would plate fiberglass bumpers, last i checked they were like $500+ per bumper-theres some pretty neat looking paint i have seen on them, not silver but closer to chrome

With the same greasy paws you used to push mine. ;) Dave said he has some nice flannel mits for you to wear when pushing his.

Dave, car looks great!!! It's light-years ahead of where it used to be in the "looks dept".  I agree with Raf, the wheels are a nice & welcome change.
Very NICE Dave!!!! Job well done!
I really like the hood. Let me know if it stays together. I have a 66 and that hood would be a perfect fit for it. If you have the mold, would you be interested in making one for my car? Great looking car! Jim
Love it. Especially the original hood. Nice to see something that isnt the normal cowl induction deal. I like the cowl hoods but this is really cool.
yea, the hood is a love or hate deal, some like some dont.

Now we need to know what color should Dave paint them glass bumpers:
Silver
Black
Body color

My vote is for silver!!!
He needs to have Merlin change them from glass back to metal

then paint them..........

There are a couple of "chrome paints" out these days.

House of Kolor - Kosmic Krome and Eastwood makes a similar product.

but this seams to be the best I've seen .........

Dave,

Yes, the second video is Elite Plating.

Jason/Dave- Gotta say, that looks pretty darn good!! I'm sure a good outcome will depend on getting the surface smoothed out, but for making glass bumpers appear like chromed stock units, that gets it done better than anything I've seen.
