There is a similar key on e-bay now...... 7hrs left, high bid $31. last week on sold for $36, Now all these keys look identical and as far as GOLD PLATE... I don't know.
With all that said, I have to do a search through some boxes of my old 40+years of junk because I know I have one of those Bowtie blank Keys.

I may have been the one who you saw that sold for 36.00, I bought my key a few years ago at a car show for like 10.00 in the package but mine was on a card and had a vacume plastic covering on it. I was going to have it cut to fit my car so I ripped it out of the package and took off the key ring. I wish now I have left it alone.
