I'm finalizing an extreme detailing on my 70SS. I went through Ground-up's catalog and placed an initial order for $11,600. I explained going into this order that I was looking for a reasonably signifigant discount for placing an order this size.

They initially agreed but came back with a 10% discount with me also responsible for shipping. No offence at all to Ground-Up. Buisness is buisness and if that's all they can do that's all they can do. Maybe I'm off base a little but I would think a 15%-20% discount would be more realistic on a $11K+ order which consists mostly of detailing parts.

My question is, What would be some good parts suppliers that handle correct restoration parts that I could offer this size of order to?

The only other supplier I am aware of is Year One which looks like primarily performance parts.

Any good suppliers carrying the same product lines as ground up would be appreciated.

Thanks

I havent bought tons of stuff from this guy, just thought because he is near you, and maybe you could save some dough on shipping. I bought a bunch of stuff from him at swap meets, very personable, and seemed knowledgeable about the stuff he was selling. Unfortunately I dont have the catalog in front of me at this time but the name of the company is Bluegrass chevelle, I think out of Bowling Green. They all essentially sell the same products/suppliers because there are simply not that many companies producing this stuff, most comes from overseas, and individual corporations slap their sticker on it. The larger companies usually just carry a larger portion of the reproduction pieces available. Jason.
