When the switch for the headlights (new) is pulled half way out to engage the parking lamps the front ones do not turn on althought the rear ones are on. The bulbs are new and both blinkers/emergancy lights work both blinking same speed. I looked at my wiring diagram but cant make to much sence of it any ideas?

Are you positive that you put in the correct bulbs? I'm not sure what year your car is, but for 68s the front bulbs are 1157's, the 2 filament kind. If you accidentally put in a 1156 single filament bulb.......... It won't take but a minute to check....

its a 69 with the 2 filaments

Have you measured the lightbulb socket center contact to see if you have 12 volts to it?

No but ill go out and do that.
