[NC 1970ss]

I know this has been on in the past about what paint best to use for painting your engine. I am getting ready to reasemble my engine and am going to paint it. Do you need to prep and pimer like any other parts? And what would be the best type of paoint. I hear alot about the Por 15?????

I looked through several old threads about this and Plasticoat #200 Chevy Orange is supposed to be very close. When I get to the point on My new engine that is what I'm going to use. As far as primer Plasticoat makes one, also SEM Brand etching primer is good. I have used it on other parts and have had good results.

Zak,I sent paint info to your email address including pic's of my motor approx 8-9yrs yrs later after paitning it with that same paint to back up my impression of the paint quality,also included is a pic of a fresh motor paint job i just completed using the same paint so you have a 9 yr old vs fresh paint pics to compair.
