Just got back from a trip out east. $11.75 from the eastern border to I-81 at Carlisle. Holy crap!!!! It's like $40 to go across the state now! And the road sucks as much as it ever did! What the hey???

It was great when the PA turnpike workers were on strike a few years ago-just blow right through them puppies! Here in NY the thruway is always trying to jack up the rates.I think they just got another increase passed.

I remember when the first toll road was built in OK. They said that as soon as the build cost was recovered, it would be free..... that was in the late 50s and its higher than ever! (One of the news stations figured it was paid for in 1970)

I don't run my truck up there much anymore,but it's over a hundred bucks from one end to the other,depending on weight.:sad:
