I was looking at M&H Racemaster DR's. They make a P325/45-17 that is supose to be mounted on a 10" rim. The measurments (according to the catolog) is 28"H x 12.1"W (sec.). Tread width is 10.3". Ive seen other people run 315's (12.4"W), but that was a 26" tire. Has anyone run these tires on a 70-72 Chevelle? My car will be lowered and I need all the rubber I can fit in the rear.:D

Thanks - Ron

Since we know a 17x11 wheel w/6.25" backspace will fit a 68-72,a 17x10 wheel with 6" backspace might work with that size tire. A 325/45/17 will have shorter, stiffer sidewalls than a 325/50/15 and we know how snug the latter tires can be to fit. My guess is the 17" tire will be an easier fit.
Anyone have pics and specs. on a 325/50-15? What was needed to fit those size tires? I will be running 17's because of the 4 wheel disk brakes, but I figure if people can fit the 15's, than I shouild have no problem fitting the 17's. Running the larger rim means I can set the tire (off set) in closer to the frame (clears the shock better)

Thanks - Ron
