I have been waiting - sick of the re-runs! Beats the heck out of watching a Seinfield episode for the 50th time...I am alway wondering why the cars they bring are 'brand new, just got it together', make sure your car can race w/o breaking, you are going on the show so make sure it works!

my new cable provider decided instead of speed channel, i need 14 korean channels, and 23 hispanic channels.......
The concept is great,
Not sure about the host, but the excessive whining about what this guy brought or this guy did has to stop.
If your dumb enough to try to build a car in 2 weeks just to be on the show, don't whine when your competition shows up with a 40 k race car.
The best episode was with the Tosto family, where brother was pitted against brother.
Now that was a first class show, both ran hard, no sandbagging and both acted like adults.
I have talked on the phone with the boys father, they have been into drag racing their entire lives. Good people, The host needs more people like the Tosto's if the show is to survive another season imho.

Well I guess you have to take the good with the bad. I agree about the whinnig going on. The host isn't bad. seems like he trys to get the show on the road. One thing I'd like to see change. go by the lights. when your tree goes down you go. That way its not up to the host. With cars spotting each other 5 cars lenghts. no nope no nada. Go by the tree. Just like the other cars have to they can set the tree up for that.
I know it is supposed to be more like old day street racing, but in many ways I agree that the tree would make for a better experience and cut out the sand baggers.
Tree can simulate a 5 length head start that you get in negotiations.
Plus, if you make them dial in like in real races, everyone will see what that car can do by a timed run, that would stop the big complaint of "I brought an 11 second car, his gets 9's easy" .
I enjoy the show because I like drag racing and their are some nice cars from time to time.
But I really tire of guys like the dumb jerk from Texas that had the 80 something blue Camaro and many others like him.
Here is to what I hope is a good yaer of Pinks Racing:thumbsup:

They sure can..I went all day at the local track to the final round, staggered light, sat and watched as the other guys light went , realized that mine had changed as I was watching the other car go, needless to say I lost
I was warned "don't watch the other lanes light" had to learn the hard way...but they should use them instead of the host flagging - always seems to be a problem with that method on the show.

I went to the filming of the 4th season when it was in Ennis. I don't really care for the show. More time was spent discussing car lengths and waiting to check out the others car cause something happened on the run, than actual racing. I enjoyed the non-Pinks races a lot more.

I specifically got the speed channel just so I could watch it! That and the barrett-jackson auctions, and the races at 2 am, and the WRC and....and....and....
Sometimes the whining does get annoying, but having been involved in such an experience before, it's understandable.

I'd rather watch PINKS than NAFTACAR
That should have been the replacement for what is now and started as Pinks.
It eliminates the sandbagging, the whining and the loss of a 10K car compared to a 40-50K car.
It was win win, for the show and all of the contestants.

I'll watch it......where else can you see drag racing on a weeknight??
I also get sick of Rich asking the loser of a round if they agree on the fact that the other guy won that race.....DUH!!!:clonk:
