Hugh made a comment about F-41 suspensions and oval bushings. He stated that oval bushings (front lower control arms, rear bushing) came as part of the F-41 suspension.
NOT NECESSARILY.
I have a verified 70 SS396. My build sheet and GM Canada list F-41. Last year I re-did the front suspension, new bushings all around. I also had to replace one control arm. The car had one oval bushing and one round bushing up front. I had to replace the arm with the round bushing and found an arm off a 70 Malibu (don't know if it had F-41). It was an oval bushing type arm. When I orderd my bushings from PST they weren't surprised when I mentioned the oval & round mix/match.
This isn't a dig at Hugh. This is just trying to help clear up some Chevelle myth with real life experience.
