I have a crappy little universal chrome shroud that hardly covers anything except the entire mechanical fan, which sits about 2.625" from the radiator core at it's closest point. My fan is 18" and together with my current "show" only shroud I think my cooling is suffering. So I want a more functional shroud.

I have always used that STYLE shroud for my BB with a stock BB 4 core on my Chevelle.
Mine is plastic. It does NOT cover the entire cooling surface area, but it's close.
160-180 all day in Florida with a cheapo flex fan as seen.

Factory clips on the bottom, bolts on the top.
