Hey I am just about ready to pay more than average for what possibly, might be the best restoration parts on the market (as claimed by OPGI ). So far I have pretty much built my 1968 chevelle SS from the inventory of Ausley's . Not to happy with the fitment of alot of items I purchased. Are OPGI's parts better in fitment and quality?????

Better than either one, get your stuff from NPD. The fitment, as mentioned above, is average at best from ANY supplier, but from what I've found, NPD has the best inventory. I've never heard much good about OPG's customer service or inventory......

I would like to see a section here on TC where we could list the best quality part overall and the vendor. I have purchased some repro parts that actually were correct, but returned many that weren't.

Do we need to start a Blog. I wouldn't want to bash the vendors on price or service, I just want a list of the best part available as sometimes there are more than one manufacturer of these parts.

and John I guess thats more so what I would be interested in, is a company that is dealing with suppliers that are dealing with as many USA products that are on the market. Only if they would catch on a little quicker... THe more new parts I put on my Chevy the closer it is to a Honda... :(

Lots of Choices

Ausley's

Eckler's

NPD

Ground Up

Bob's Chevelle Parts

Year One

OPGI

Used them all and have all their current 2011 catalogs.

Some have parts that others do not, and/or the same item is less than it may be at another. All their variations makes for no "one best".

Helps to know and deal with them all. Keeps them competitve + plus comparison shopping really helps. Each also has special sales at times.

:beers:

To chime in, I'm working on a 67 convertible and have ordered parts from Ausleys, OPG, NPD and Big Tony's. By far the best customer service was from Big Tony's, second would be NPD as they just simply have a biger inventory. I thought that OPG parts were a bit higher priced as like to shop around. I live in NC and have the chance to go to Both Ausley's and Big Tony's to meet them and pick up parts. I can say that all the guys at Big Tony.s were A-body owners and that made me feel better about asking questions about parts or fitment.

http://www.chevelles.com/reviews/ Here ya go, Les. If more people knew it was here, maybe there would be a comprehensive list of stuff that actually fit.

Thanks Dave, I actually never gave that area a look but it could be a great help to everyone if we used it, I'm going to put my information on it soon.
