Hello everyone,

I'd like to know the best way to do a one wire conversion on my 70 Chevelle. I just bought a race motor recently and it came with an East Coast Auto Electric one wire alternator.

I have a new factory harness and I want to eliminate the voltage regulator which I assume you can do without too much trouble in this setup.

I don't mind untaping the harness and hiding the connections since I want a nice clean install.

My car has the warning light in the SS dash and I'd like that to work too. Is this all possible or am I asking too much?

DG,

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. On the last part of that archive, it says to just tape up all the wires when using a one wire alternator.........can I really do that??

How would I get the idiot light to work then??
