i just bought a 66 malibu that has a new battery, new alternator and a new voltage regulator. the left headlight comes on about half the strength of the right one until the car is very well warmed up. when it is warmed up, they both are bright, even at idle. i dont know where to start on this one. any ideas would be great!

Put the lights on and wiggle the wires going to that bulb. Most times it's just a bad connection. Also, check the ground wires for the headlights. There are black wires that screw to the radiator support. Last idea, try another bulb.

Don't you wish everything was that easy?

Just so you know, this works for dim tail lights too. Old cars are notorious for this.
