Hey folks, new to the forum and hoping you guys may be willing to help out the Oldsmobile guy. I have a 69 Olds 442 and i would like to put some bigger rubber in the back, no pun intended. Not sure how much variation there may be between a chevelle and a cutlass, but I was wondering from those of you with experience how big of a tire were you able to fit on stock width rear axle with stock height suspension or slightly raised adjustables? I have heard some guys have run a 325 rear with little to no modification as long as you have a wheel with the proper backspacing. I was considering a 15 or 17 in the rear. Width at 10" i know a lot of people say with proper backspacing 275's fit easily. Anyone here know more about this in regards to wheels size and backspace? Your help is much appreciated. Thanks folks!
