I know from previous posts that some Old's 12 bolts are really just 10 bolt gears in the 12 bolt housing? (Or something like that)

Is anyone able to tell by these photos if this is a real 12 bolt that would work in a 67 Chevelle? (It's from a 70 Cutlass)

I guess you could use it. Count the bolts on ring gear, prob. 10

Looks exactly like mine and I have an Old's 3:90 posi. It's worked good for many years in my 66' (cross my fingers)

It will physically bolt in a 68 to 72 A body. It will be wider than your 67.
It is probably a 10 bolt. I would not use it. Stay with a Chevy rear end for your 67.

it looks like it has a high gear but it's a posi and a bolt in.

Just looking at the Richmond site to see if that's correct.
Seems that the P/N's for the "O" axle and the "8.5" axle are different.

I'm fairly sure all the BOP 12 bolts have the smooth cover pictured above........unlike the chevy 12 bolt's V groove.

An Olds 10 bolt is stronger than a Chevy 10 bolt. They stuck them behind 455 torque monsters! I had one in a '66 Cutlass with a 2nd design L88 with 4.33 gears and it held up with L60 Polyglas Goodyears.

That is an Olds 12 bolt for sure (with the 10 bolt carrier)
$450 is kinda steep for a 2.56 posi..you might be able to find a Chevy 12 bolt open rear for that..maybe
I'd offer $300 if you really had to have it.

If it's a BOP rear, it's bolt in bearings instead of c-clips.
