Anyone out there ever use the old school Sealed Power CS112R grind for a small chevy? Just asking from curiosity, recently I removed one from a small block my Dad built back in the early 80's. I remember the car running quite well, and being quite fast however I was young and that was many moons ago. The specs are as follows:
300/300 adv. duration
224/224 @.050
.436/.436 lift
108 LSA
NOTE MELLING OFFERS THE SAME EXACT GRIND, as #22233
This was in a 69 Chevelle, mated to an M21 and 4.56 gears, long tube headers, Eddy Torker II and 780 Holley. I now have the car (which is actually a true SS car, have vin matching 396 tucked away). I'm starting what will be a long restoration project since I have obtained the car since his passing. During the process of gathering parts I decided to get it running again. I picked up a cheap L83 (crossfire 350 from an 84 Vette), swapped to carb, bolted to the M21. Id like to for nostalgia purposes install the same grind cam, I know it might sound silly but just looking to briefly relive those childhood memories. Again just mainly curious if anyone has used that cam and cares to share their story.
