So is this a trick question.... calendar year vs model year? I think 1969 in the 1970 model chassis. Although I'm not sure of the actual start of production date on the 454 option.

Actualy I think it may have been 65 with the B-body cars.

Production started in '69 for the '70 model year cars.

Not the LS3. That was a 402 marketed as a 400.
