this is actually pretty common. i worked in the lumber industry for decades. construction sites, lumber yards, supply depots etc. open the hood of any forklift or truck, and there is a good chance somethin is a cookin, either that or they have a 80 gallon drum somewhere cooking carne asada. i loved going to build sites, they always had the best burritos or carne, now they just have roach coaches...

A friend of mine used to wrap a sandwich in tinfoil & stick it under his tunnel ram intake,make a 1/4 mile pass @ the drags & have a hot lunch afterwards.

When I was a younger kid sneaking into the drive ins we would wrap hot dogs and lay them on the manifold so we had them hot when we got in

I'd be concerned of it falling out all over the track. Imagine that. Race time delayed for the trucks to clean up a sandwich off the track. That'd be embarrassing.
