I've been a smoker ~ 1.5 packs a day for 23 years now... I have tried to quit in the past many times but have failed due to close relatives smoking around me daily. Yeah I know, poor excuse but it's hard when your wife lights up 2 feet from you and you smell it and want it! Recently I've been trying to quit smoking and I haven't smoked really for ~1.5 weeks (tired of coughing my ass off every morning and killing myself, been using the nicotine patch). I have cheated a few times in the evening the first few days when I started quitting but it's getting better, i think.
I have one last Stogie/Doobie I've been saving and I'm going to go burn it here in a minute and wish my bad habit a fond goodbye. (too late it's burnt and gone
)
Anyone have any good advice for not restarting the old bad habit? :beers:
