I need an oil pump priming tool for a gen VI 502 BB. I've found quite a few that don't work on the gen VI.
Like to find one that will.

I was told, but I haven’t verified, that the bottom distributor boss that aligns the distributor above the pump has to be in. If that’s true you need to use an old distributor without the cam gear cut the shaft or maybe the primer tool if it fits through the hole.

I have similar to Levon,s only mine is made of Detroit Miracle Metal cast iron When a distributor was a distributor. LOL works like a Charm . Alex

I bought one of those cheapish china procomp distributors and cut the top off, ground the teeth off the drive gear, then cut off the top of the shaft. There you have it the prefect priming tool home made for both big and small blocks. but you could just buy a primer premade if that suits you.
