The Speedway Motors website says that the pan you have is a guaranteed fit. Pictures of the underside show that the pan has the required clearance reliefs for inner tie rod clearance. Have you tried it?

Oil pan 1970 chevelle
Hello. I’m currently building a Gen 6 454 for a 1970 chevelle. I have a cfr oil pan. Model number hz-8441. Anyone have experience with this pan? I understand the crossmember may be an issue. My intent was to use the old oil pan but evidently mkIV and Gen 6 oil pans are not compatible.

Hey zookpr thanks for the reply. I’m sorry for the delay in response. No, I have not tried it for fitment. I wanted to be sure before I put it on the new engine. Thank you very much. I never thought to check fitment through speedway. I always overthink things lol. Thanks again.
