Were the original oli canisters painted? Orange? Black? any label?

Black and had an AC label. Ground Up sells the labels.

Original maintenance information on the 67 canister was silk screened on and not a decal but it's as close as you'll probably get.

Don't bother with the labels. Maybe others have had better luck but when I re finished my canister I applied a lable and then used a satin finish clear coat - at least 6 coats.

Perhaps it was my particular method but mine curled and peeled in short order.

Aren't the repro canisters that GU sells silk screened?
