Yup, Both the body shop and I got impatient. He wanted this thing out of his shop, and I wanted it back so I could start putting it back together. That inner skin is just 12g. sheet metal. I found 3 original inner tailgate pieces and every one of them are so trashed we just made a flat sheet for now. Eventually I'll fnd an inner plate that is worth the effort to restore. But for now.... Sure glad it's a screw on piece!Fabulous job, Marv. The back panel for your tailgate is obviously a custom. Is that just 1/8" carbon steel?
