if you run octane booster in you car every once and a while wont your car get used to it and then when you quit using it make your car have less perf?or maybe run a little sh***y.
also which octane boosters do you guys reccomend??
I tried the expensive type and the chaep type. I think the cheap ones are mostly kerosene anyway. Get a 5 gal can of the 100 octane stuff available at small airports. I just started using it and it does make a diff, more than the boosters. First ran about 30%,then 20%. Liked 30% better. some run 50% , some run 10%. I cant tell yet.
The stuff in the bottles is useless except for eliminating very mild "ping". When they claim a 4 point boost that means from 92 octane to 92.4 octane. Toulene will make a much larger difference as will race gas mixed in or AV gas.
If your engine isn't "pinging" you don't need any octane boosters and once you use them and then stop, your motor will run like it did before you added the boosters.
