All right I have a GM 572 that this year am going to spray I got the NOS two stage system 1st stage is 150 shot 2nd is 250 shot. I put it all on last year but never had the gut's to use it and I wanted to make sure all the bugs were out of it. So this year am going to use it. My question is this I have to replace my intake gasket. And sence I have that all apart I have heard you should run a certin type of head gastket with NOS what would that be or is it even worth doing. Thank you

Two stage systems are much more difficult to tune than one.....I would start with one and work your way up. Cometics are a good NOS head gasket.

wait wait,

Was the engine built for N20? If your going to spray 400 combined HP then that motor needs to be cammed and ring end gap set for it at the bare minimum. Thats a heavy dose of N20.

NO, the first stage is 150 acctaveted by throttle switch, the second stage is acctavated by the button. When you hit the button the first stage turns off, so only the 2nd stage is on witch is 250. For a total of 250. I hope I read the instructions right. I even double checked with NOS to make sure.PS so I think that put's me on a fine line. but should be able to handle it,Am going to start out small and work my way up am not just going to jump in and smack it with a 250 shot

You can spray 250 at almost any BBC.

69 Ratt I just talked to a speed shop were I live and he said not to bother replacing the head gasket's unless I have a problem. He didn't think it's going to have any problems with the stock gasket with a 250 shot. Would you agree you seem to know your stuff you have given me plenty of advise over the last year on this stuff and Thank you for that.

There's lots of checking you do with nitrous to avoid problems. YOu can make sure your solenoids activate as they should with the bottle closed and engine running or not running. You should know your fuel pressure, timing retards, and activation all work before you make a pass and you can easily check all that before you really spray it.

Good advise, check everything twice and start at little shots......check plugs and work your way up slowly.

You are probably fine with a 250 shot and the stock head gaskets.....refer to my above statements to make sure they live.
