Good day all,

Was looking at my Velle and noticed that the steering column is off center...in the cockpit. It comes to back to the driver (me) at an angle, leaning toward the driver side door or to the left as I look at it. Meaning that in order for the wheel to be facing me directly I would have to sit off kilter, somewhat facing toward the right front corner of the hood. Does this make any sense? (my description) Where the column go's into the dash, I can put my entire finger in between the column and the hole in the dash on the right side but one the lft side where it gos through I can barely get my fingernail between dash and column.

Now to my question. Is it possible to adjust the column in a left and right fashion in order to center the wheel? Or is the column jst bent allaway and needs to be replaced. What should I look for? Thanks for the help, this is really annoying having to drive like this.

I just replaced my 66 column. The column itself should be straight all the way. Like you describe it is mounted a bit off to the left. Under the dash the column mounts in a brace that leaves no room for adjustment left or right. I would start by looking if the column is bent in anyway and then I would look under the dash at the mounting point.
