here's the problem with my 69 chevelle. both rear turn signals and lights work but the brake lights and the hazards in the back do not. i've checked the ground and it seems good and i've checked the brake light switch at the petal and that is fine too. does any brake light wire run in the steering column cause i did change my turn signal cam and then while testing i noticed this problem?

Yes the brake light circuit is routed through the signal switch.

Check the fuse. The emergency flashers and brake lights have a common fuse. The turn signals have a different fuse. You may have shorted the brake light circuit during the repair.
