Hey guys,

I'm running a 406 sbc that I want to spray with a 125 shot of nitrous. Right now I have a mechanical fuel pump. Do I need to change that to electric? What else will I need to do?

I think i'll be mounting the bottle in the trunk. I've never run nitrous before so i'm all ears. can i use nitrous with a vacuum secondary holley 750? do I have to have an msd ignition box (or similar)? what's the best way to activate the nitrous?

where would i locate the button/switch?? I was thinking about using the system that gets put in the air cleaner, but i've heard that's not a great setup.

Here's a pic of the motor: The wheel wells are back in the car so i will have plenty of mounting space for solenoids etc.

Any recommendations would be awesome and very appreciated.

Running a small nitrous system as a 125 HP kit you don't need MSD. Its nice to use the new digital 6 though because it has all the goodies for the timing retard. The 750 vacuum secondary and your mechanical pump will do if its high volume type. The best way to activate it is using a micro switch on the carb when it sees full throttle.

Thats an ok kit, non adjustable which is ok so you won't blow up your engine. 125 HP you will get approx. 10 passes. The sniper kit which I installed on a customers' car it had three levels of adjustment, its a bit better. The Cheater kit, the solenoids are bigger, its one of the best kits but if you don't wanna go bigger than 125 HP the smaller kit is the best.
