It would make sense to keep it up, regardless of the rules. I'd imagine the drag after 80 mph could affect the time slightly.

Also, while this probably isn't a rule per se, believe they don't like dark tinted windows either, fwiw.

I guess it doesn't make sense to me when some altereds and rat rods are essentially convertibles with no side windows.

Maybe I should go ahead and install fixed plexiglass and call it a day. I don't have a good regulator and window for this project.

I believe in those cases you do have a different set of harness rules.... Much depends on how fast you run, I'm slow soooooo.....

I find it funny how different racing sanctioning bodies have such very different rules.

NHRA even back when I first started racing and my car ran 15s at 89mph... window MUST be up.
USCA running 140mph around Road America... windows MUST be down.

This reminds me of a woman I know that had a car accident. She was drunk and went off of the road, into a ditch, went air born, and clipped a tree with her driver's door. It ripped her arm off at the shoulder. She only survived because someone saw it happen and kept her from bleeding out with his coat.
